iKNOW
Finnish games developer Tactic wanted a high-impact Google Ad to promote their new multi-player, trivia board game iKNOW, across Europe. Shot in English, the advert had to resonate across a broad range of nationalities, with versions dubbed in French and Polish, and subtitled in Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish.
We produced several initial concepts, and the chosen script was storyboarded and audience-trialled in animatic form prior to production. Tactic didn't want to major on scenes of gameplay, so the ad was based around the idea of the game becoming addictive. It needed a realistic, gritty feel, so we decided to shoot on location and gave the finished programme a heavy colour grade to emphasise the ‘grit’.
